There is a rumor out among the stupid circles that a microchip from the stereo in the Ford Focus can be inserted into a television digibox to access Sky channels for free. This urban myth has caused a surge in stupid criminals breaking into the vehicle.
Both police and Sky are saying that the thieves are wasting their time and the rumor is completely untrue. Chief Inspector Alun Morgan from Cardiff, England, said that last week “there was evidence that up to eight cars were targeted within a few streets on a single night”.
The Ford Focus myth is just another
situation of stupid criminals not doing the proper due diligence into the elaborate crimes that they undertake. (Put on your white lab coats idiots, you need more fact-finding research to make your crimes worthwhile!).
