Someone with any common sense would never do this, but when you’re dumb (with stupid criminal 
tendencies in your blood) you might try this stunt:
A man running late for a flight in Miami freaked when he realized his gate was closed and the plane was about to depart. He flashed a fake police badge to the airline workers at the gate and said that he was an air marshal and that he needed to be on that flight. The plane was stopped and he was allowed to board.
Mr smarty pants didn’t think about the real air marshals that were already on the plane – when they checked his fake badge, they kicked him off.
He got lucky by avoiding arrest BUT, acting in true stupid criminal fashion, he went to the airport bar and started complaining loudly about missing his flight. That’s when airport police arrested him. (He really thought that his plastic gumball-machine police badge would come in handy some day. . . almost)
