Celebrities like to drink and drive – take Nick Carter from the Backstreet Boys for example. In March of 2005, Carter was pulled over after a traffic violation in California and the police officer suspected that he had been drinking. Carter couldn’t walk a straight line in his sobriety test (and his dance moves were not impressing the officer).
He was taken into custody and booked into the Huntington Beach City Jail. Assistant District Attorney Ted Burnett said that Carter was charged with one count of driving under the influence and one count of driving with a blood alcohol level above 0.08. (Why wasn’t he driving on the “Backstreet” to avoid getting caught?)
After the incident, Carter released a statement that said,”Nick Carter deeply regrets the current situation. He is on doctor-prescribed medication and was unaware of its interaction possibilities.” (He’s either still drunk or really likes to talk about himself in the 3rd person).

Carter’s publicist released that statement, hence the use of the third person. How many years ago was this? Carter went to the alcohol awareness classes required. Since that time, and the discovery of a mild cardiomyopathy due to alcohol/drug excess, Carter has sobered up, and lost over 65 lbs with clean living, good diet habits and exercise. He is quite honest about the problems he had during that time in his life. It seems to me that when someone turns their life around, they should get credit for that, instead of lazy bloggers harping only on the bad times they had.
Who are you – his trainer? If so – I’m lazy like you say I am and need motivation!
You’re right, I should give him credit for it. Now that he’s in shape and turned his life around, he needs to hit the dance floor like his brother (Aaron Carter) on Dancing With The Stars.
